Themed trips

If you prefer and if you have some special interests we could do themed trip inspired by the object of your interst. Some specific things that I know well here are:

The mineral springs - in and around Sofia there are six great places with mineral water springs that are good for many health problems. In fact one of the main reasons for Romans to establish here a big urban territory was exactly the mineral water. At some of the places therе is an option to take a mineral bath in a small pools which is not just healthy but real pleasure and relax. I could also offer you a bigger mineral springs trip across the country (for more details look at the "Few days trips" page).

The city parks and gardens - in the four sides of Sofia there are four big parks (two of them are huge forests near the city center and almost connected) where in the warm part of the year the life blooms - there are plenty of young people fresh air and different kinds of birds all around.

Ancient sights - we could ride to ruins of ancient Serdika fortress and Roman's coliseum from the same period(it was almost as big as The Coliseum in Rome) which both are situated in the city center, and also to the prehistoric 8000 year old neolithic settlement.

Churches and monasteries/ cathedral, mosque and sinagogue - a lot of temples are situated in the city the oldest of them is built in 3rd century. Around Sofia you can see beautiful monastery complexes.

Monuments and remains from communist period - we still keep most of the monuments tat was built through these 45 years of communist regime and all across the city there are a lot of memories like buildings old adverts and old people who could tell you a lot of different stories most of them full with suffer about these years.

Architecture - the buildings here are made basically in three periods - from the end of 19th century to WW 2; from communist period; from 90's till now. The most beautiful are the buildings from the first one because the tendencies in architecture at that time was inspired by the classical styles of ancient Rome, Renaissance, Baroque etc. I know a lot good examples of them and will be happy to watch and discuss on them together!

Sofia's hidings - you know what I mean. Like every big city our capital has its secret places that not so much people knows like tiny quiet streets, cozy bars, alternativ shops, small restaurants with delicios food, craft or other kind markets (for example at the weekends there is second hand market that is a gold mine for the collectors or just a wooden bench situated in front of spectacular view. I explored a lot of them and can't wait to share with you all.

Railways - I know many railway hubs with panoramic bridges above them and abndoned rails and wagons. The best railway adventure in my country that I can suggest you is the narrow line train that passes throgh the three of the most highest mountains in Bulgaria. It's gorgeous to tavel by this train cause you're all of the time in a steap montain ranges surrounded by woods cliffs rivers birds and many more beauties and the small train goes so slow so you could enjoy all of them especially if you are on the open air place between the wagons!

Panoramic places - I know a lot of places in and around the city where you can watch it from a birds eye like rooftobsq sky-bars or panoramic restaurants, bridges mountain hills and peaks etc.

History of aviation - one of my passions is aviation and I can tell you thosands things abot it untill we cycling to some monuments of aviators and airplanes or if we go to the museum of aviation which is abot 130 km to Sofia. In fact I wrote my bachellors graduation project about the actions of bulgarian aviation in wars.

Museums - it's a good cycling trip for all daylong because the museums are situated all around the territory of our capital.
